Who I am
Hello! My name is Filip and as corny as it sounds, I really like foreign languages. And not only because of the opportunities they bring us in terms of work, study or leisure. The reason why I like to dive into the tangle of new words and grammatical structures again and again is the human closeness.
I can see myself how differently I perceive life in German-speaking countries when I don’t have to rely solely on English. Maybe you too want to be closer to your Austrian colleagues, or you want to speak to the locals in their native Spanish while traveling. Maybe you want to be able to talk to your Slovak girlfriend’s parents, or maybe you’ve been living in Slovakia for a while and would like to decode us through our language.
No matter what your intentions are, it’s great not to be on your own when it comes to learning. I’m very grateful for the many language communities I get to be a part of, as well as for all my teachers and patient native-speaking friends I’ve had so far. Thanks to them, I have been able to get to an advanced level in 3 foreign languages and be able to impart my skills further.
